Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of The Black Pharaoh

By JM Reinbold

London, 1890

After an Egyptologist with the British Museum and a member of the Henry expedition to Dahshoor, Egypt is found dead in his home, his hands amputated in a terrifying display of brutality, Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson are engaged by Lord Silverpin and his sister to find their father Robert Henry the Fifth Earl of Convarran, who is missing and whom the Silverpins fear may have suffered a similar fate.

As Holmes’s investigation progresses, it becomes clear that this case is deeper, darker, and more dangerous than the Silverpins have led him to believe.

Conspiracies, intrigues, and mysteries abound that threaten to engulf the Great Detective, Doctor Watson, and their clients. As Holmes desperately seeks information that could lead him to the Earl, mayhem erupts. Another grotesque murder, a violent assault, an attempted poisoning, and an abduction that strikes perilously close to home. No nearer to discovering who or what is behind these outrages, Holmes now finds himself embattled on all fronts.

Time is running out. And if he is to succeed, Holmes knows, he will have to do something he’s never done before.

Coming from MX Publishing in June 2025.
